The Story of PipelineRx

PipelineRx started with the belief that pharmacist expertise is critical to patient care and safety. That prior to dispensing, every medication should be reviewed by a pharmacist and every patient deserves access to the specialized insight that only pharmacists possess. Pharmacist-provider collaboration was already proven to improve patient outcomes. We believed the time had come to unleash the full power of the pharmacy.

Every idea starts with a challenge and ours was no exception. Pharmacist workload demands had grown dramatically over the years. Already heavily relied upon to ensure the safe and effective use of medications, the introduction of value-based care meant increased demand for pharmacy care. Optimizing people and process could only go so far. As with every other industry, embracing technology and automation was the solution.

Guided by pharmacist experts, we built the first-ever online pharmacy-specific platform and created a channel of communication unlike anything in the industry. This facilitated remote order management by our growing team of seasoned clinical pharmacists, and launched the first step towards a more efficient pharmacy.
