Filming Day at Stanford 🎬// Weight loss medications and bariatric surgery are powerful tools - but what you do with them matters even more ✨

I had the opportunity to contribute to a course in development with the Stanford Center for Health Education focused on obesity, metabolism, and weight management - bringing evidence-based education to providers and health professionals worldwide.

Such a fun experience collaborating with an incredible team and chatting with Christopher Gardner 🍊⚖️🧬

My role? Breaking down the real-life nutrition side of bariatric surgery + GLP-1s - what actually changes with appetite, digestion, and eating patterns and HOW to best support your long-term nutrition goals 👍🏻

Because here’s the thing…medications and surgery can be powerful tools BUT they’re not the full solution! 👏🏻

Learning how to nourish your body, building sustainable habits, and working with a dietitian is what truly makes the difference when it comes to losing weight, maintaining it, and feeling your best long-term!

How I Stay Fueled While Traveling // Traveling doesn’t mean throwing your routine out the window - it just means adapting it ✈️

Here’s a peek at how I stayed fueled during a weekend in Santa Barbara with one my best friends 💕without overthinking it AND still having a blast:

✔ packed snacks so I wasn’t starving
✔ built balanced meals when I could
✔ prioritized protein + fiber for steady energy
✔ enjoyed meals (and cocktails 😉) without stress

☕️ Coffee & Clarity // 2026: Episode 5 — Part III✨: How to Choose a Collagen Supplement

If you’re choosing to supplement with collagen, quality matters.

Not all supplements are created equal, and marketing claims can be… ambitious.

Here are a few things to look for:

✔ Third-party testing — certifications like NSF Certified for Sport or Informed Sport evaluate products for contaminants and banned substances in sport and help verify the supplement actually contains what it claims. Even if you’re not an athlete, these are reputable indicators of quality.

✔ Check the NSF Certified for Sport website - you can search brands that have been tested and verified.

✔ Pair with vitamin C - Vitamin C plays an important role in collagen synthesis. Some products include it, or you can pair collagen with vitamin C-rich foods like citrus, berries, or kiwi.

✔ Remember the foundations - if your goal is bone health, adequate calcium, vitamin D, and resistance training still matter. Collagen can support these strategies but doesn’t replace them.

Collagen can be helpful in certain situations but it’s not essential and not a shortcut!

Supplements support the plan. Habits drive the results.
