💎💎💎When we meditate, we often focus on our breath, bringing our attention inward, allowing us to settle. Metal is element of the Lung and Large Intestine. Think rocks, minerals, crystals, and gold— found deep within the Earth. Their movement is INWARD, their heaviness allows us to settle.

Lung time occurs begins at 3a, often when monks and yogis begin their daily meditation practices. 7a is Large Intestine time aka morning 💩

Associated with the AUTUMN season, imagine the INWARD movement is of the trees as they consolidate their resources for the winter, dropping the leaves that no longer serve us.

The Lungs hold GRIEF - which is why it’s hard to breath when cry. The Large Intestine allows us to literally let that $h!+ go. Stay tuned to learn about the rest of the organs and how they are all connected.

Often quite tender, the Font Mu of the Pericardium, Ren 17 is used for any disharmonies of the chest; whether that’s coughing, tightness of the chest, shortness of breath, hiccups, palpitations, or more energetic and emotional. If you’re feeling nervous this is a great point to massage or tap to relieve any anxieties.

In TCM the Pericardium represents the Uterus. Think: an envelope wrapped around the Heart, just at the Uterus wraps around the baby. This point is great for any gynecological issues: such as menstrual cramping, excess bleeding, no bleeding, emotional waves that are associated with our monthly cycle.

‘Da’ means big, ‘Huang’ means yellow. Yellow is the color of the Earth element, the Stomach and Spleen, aka the digestive system. Da Huang may help to alleviate EXCESS conditions of the digestive system. This cold, bitter herb helps to drain any heat trapped in the Yang Ming channels (Stomach/ Large Intestine). These may be experienced as constipation, abdominal distention, cramping, and pain, and/or hemorrhoids. Due to its cold natre, Da Huang may also be used as an external topical to treat burns.

🩸IFYKYK

At first glance you might think this is painful, a sign of injury, or that it must’ve left a gashing hole.
Don’t worry, there’s no pain, no injury, no gaping hole.

❤️This is a little love drop from some auricular acupuncture. In TCM when needles are taken out, followed by a drop to a few drops of blood, this just shows that there’s been a release and that there is now flow in what was just stagnant.

👹Was feeling a little anxious, irritable, and uneasy as my moon time approached; so I threw in a few needles before bed.

Shen men- calming Spirit
Sympathetic- turning off fight or flight
Kidneys-nourish Yin, grounding
Liver- replenish Blood, irritability
Heart- settle emotions
Insomnia 1- fall asleep
Insomnia 2- stay asleep
Endocrine- balance hormones
Uterus- moon time

🌝The drops of blood came from my Uterus point, showing there was a major release. Let’s just say woke up to Aunt Flo ready for a monthly visit.

Sorry mom, no grandbabies this cycle ✨💃🏽

Drop a🩸if you’d like to release any moon-related anxieties, irritation, or ungroundedness and I’ll drop you a personal tip in your DMs.

Nature is amazing. It provides us exactly what we need, when we need it.

The season of the Spleen and Stomach is late summer. Late summer is when all the fruits get ripe, juicy, and sweet. Therefore Sweet is the flavor of the Spleen/ Stomach. Fruits/ Foods high in sugar are great for adding a few "layers" before the temperatures drop and we enter into the cold, hibernating winter months.

Foods NATURALLY Sweet may tonify the Spleen/ Stomach. However too much sweetness can cause dampness. Dampness in the body can look like digestive issues, such as bloating, gas, indigestion, sticky stools or weight gain/ excess" layers".
Here are some teas to aid digestion to combat those yummy, sugary late summer fruits.
