The biggest filler myth? That it has to look dramatic.

Many of our patients come in with complaints of TMJ disorders, which appear as jaw pain and frequent clenching and grinding. These symptoms are caused by overactive jaw muscles, or masseters. Strong masseters can also make the lower face appear overly wide, which is another reason why masseter BOTOX to relax these muscles is one of our most popular treatments.

This young man in his late 20s was concerned about uncomfortable clenching and grinding of the teeth due to overactive masseters. He was also bothered by how these muscles contributed to an asymmetrical, overly bulky jawline.

The biggest mistake with under eye filler is… Doing too much.

More filler doesn't mean better results.
Especially under the eyes.
This area is delicate and when it's overtreated, it can look heavy, unatural, or just...off.
In this case, the concern wasn't just under eyes. Scarring, shadows, and structure all played a role.
By supporting the midface, cheekbones, and jawline (not overfilling the tear trough) we were able to soften the darkness and restore balance in a way that still looks natural.
Not over done.

Under eye filler shouldn't be obvious.
If you can see it, it's probably too much.

Did you know dark circles and hollows under the eyes are often related to volume loss? As we age, the small fat pads that support the midface gradually shrink, which can create that sunken, tired look.

You can use creams — and a good concealer definitely helps too — but they can only do so much when the change is happening deeper.

If you’re looking for something longer-lasting and not quite ready for surgery, this is where we often use filler to restore that support and smooth the transition under the eyes.

Can filler fix under eye bags?
Short answer: yes!
Real answer: Only if you know where NOT to put it.

“I always looked tired… even when I wasn’t.”

That’s how this started.

When multiple lip treatments from an outside injector left her latest results overfilled with filler outside the natural lip line.

Poor technique. Overfilled.

👉🏾Dissolved. Redone right. Not every lip filler result is perfect. Sometimes you just need to dissolve and start again.
