This two-day workshop provides information, skills, and resources to work with grief, its physiology and transformation. Practice compassionate listening, skillful communicating and observing somatic resonance during service to others. Learn to apply integrative tools for “Degriefing Caregiver Burden” while combining Eastern and Western therapeutic modalities to address the needs of the bereaved. This workshop is intended for health and mental health professionals, hospice staff, clergy, first responders, massage therapists, coaches, all professionals working in settings with individuals facing loss and grief. Degriefing Bodywork: Medical Hands-On Healthcare Professionals
Level 1 16 Hour Seminar. This weekend seminar takes place Friday evening 6:00 PM to Sunday at 5:00 PM. Grief-related problems are often unrecognized and remain unaddressed by today’s overtaxed healthcare system. The seminar led by grief counselor and massage teacher Lyn Prashant is designed to provide massage therapists and ‘hands-on’ professionals with information, skills and resources to better understand work with the somatic grief process. Please bring a photograph of a lost loved one, massage cream, a set of sheets (and your table if possible.) CEUs: Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, MFTs, & Massage Therapists
