We're excited to share that as part of a research collaboration with UCSF, we compounded medications for a clinical trial studying antibiotic use in patients affected by malnutrition in Burkina Faso. Participants aged 1-59 months across 60 villages are being provided with medication and given regular health screenings to study what the best outcomes might be. According to the World Food Programme, the number of people in Burkina Faso facing acute food insecurity has risen to 2.7 million in 2024 and this research is crucial for understanding the most up-to-date and effective treatment methods. The clinic trial is still ongoing, so stay tuned for an update on the results of the findings after it has been completed!
