🌕 Celebrating Community at the Autumn Moon Festivals! 🍂

This past Saturday, October 4th, our team had the amazing opportunity to participate in two wonderful events: the Richmond District Autumn Moon Festival 2025 and the Sunset Autumn Moon Festival & Health Fair! 🎉

At both festivals, we set up a resource table to share valuable information and resources about the programs and services our agency provides to the community. We loved connecting with so many neighbors and families to talk about how we can support one another! 💛

To make it even more engaging, we hosted fun games and activities for kids and families. Laughter, smiles, and a little friendly competition filled the air! 🏓🎈 It was also a great chance to spread the word about our Car Donation Program, which supports our mission and helps us continue to serve the community. 🚗✨

A big thank-you to everyone who stopped by our table, participated in the games, or simply came to say hello. These festivals are a true celebration of community, culture, and connection, and we’re so proud to have been part of it!

Here’s to building stronger ties and brighter futures—together. 🫶

Sharing of resources to the community

Did you know that Anthem offers no-cost transportation services to medical, same-day urgent care, dental, behavioral health, and substance use disorder appointments? Not only that, but other locations include pharmacies, WIC appointments, grocery stores, farmers markets, food banks and food pantries. Each ride covers up to 200 miles roundtrip. To coordinate a ride, call the Anthem transportation line toll free at 877-931-4755 to reserve at least 5 business days in advance.

As an alternative, Anthem members may also qualify for mass transit passes (bus & train) and mileage reimbursement for designated drivers. Contact the Modivcare Facility line at 866-529-2128 for more information.

We are grateful to have participated in this weekend’s 2025 San Francisco Chinatown Autumn Moon Festival, proudly sponsored by Graton Resort & Casino for the third year in a row. It’s wonderful to see the community recognizing the impactful work we do.

On 8/24/2025, Chinatown was bursting with joy, culture, and community spirit as we celebrated 38 amazing years at APA Family Support Services! From traditional performances to fun games and heartfelt moments, it was a day to remember.

We also honored two incredible team members, Soukchai Ly (30 years) and Pauline Lo (28 years), for their unwavering dedication to our mission. ❤️

This Latino Heritage Month, we’re proud to celebrate the vibrant Latino communities we serve. Over the past year, we’ve increased our service to Latino individuals from 16% to 20%, while also expanding the total number of people we serve. This growth inspires us to continue creating inclusive and culturally appropriate programs that truly represent our diverse community.

APAFSS at the Hong Kong Fair: Connecting with the Community

We had the pleasure of participating in the Hong Kong Fair presented by the Hongkonger Community Center in Newark. Our table drew many visitors who stopped by to learn more about the services we offer, and it was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community.

We also used this event to raise awareness about our Car Donation Program, which accepts vehicles in any condition—running or not. We provide free towing, handle all the paperwork, and make the process completely hassle-free for donors. We were delighted to see so many visitors show interest in our program, including those who expressed plans to refer it to their friends and family. 🎉 What an Amazing Day at the APAFSS 38th Anniversary Block Party! 🎉

Today, Chinatown came alive with joy, laughter, and vibrant cultural celebrations as we marked 38 incredible years of APAFSS! Families and community members came together to enjoy cultural performances, live entertainment, and fun-filled game booths under beautiful San Francisco skies. 🌞

A heartfelt thank you to our City Mayor, Daniel Lurie, and the many state and city officials who joined us and supported this event. Your presence made this celebration even more special! 🙌
