🚨 News about Dock-a-Tot safety:

When a friend or family member has a baby, we are all eager to be of service in any way we can. Unfortunately, the kind of help we tend to offer sometimes isn’t in alignment with a new-moms actual needs. If you want to get real specific, I’m talking about holding the baby. While holding a fresh ...

4moms is recalling MamaRoos and RockaRoos due to entanglement hazards from straps that hang down from the rockers and swings when not in use. At least one baby has died as a result of asphyxiation.

Recall alert 🚨

Recall alert 🚨

Important Recall Information: In coordination with the CPSC, 4moms today issued a voluntary recall of its MamaRoo and RockaRoo infant swings and rockers. This recall applies to MamaRoo Baby Swings (models 4M-005, 1026 and 1037) and all RockaRoo rockers (model 4M-012). This does NOT include the new version of the MamaRoo (model 1046), which launched this summer and has a 5-point harness.

When the recalled swing or rocker is not in use, the restraint straps can dangle below the seat and crawling infants can become entangled in the straps. If you currently own one of these swings, we urge you to contact us immediately to receive a free strap fastener that will prevent the straps from extending under the seat when the swing or rocker is not in use.

Please visit http://www.4momsrecall.expertinquiry.com for more information and to request a free strap fastener.

Rest assured, safety is our highest priority at 4moms. That is why we have designed this solution to further help ensure the safety of our customers and their families. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Posted • Those postpartum days can be filled with…

Exhaustion.
Overwhelm.
Feeling like life is turned upside down.

In all of it, sometimes it can feel so hard to know what we need.

But one thing feels true.

👉 ‘I just wish my partner knew…’

Which can then sometimes turn into ‘Why don’t they just know!??’

And this narrative can lead to:

Feeling resentful.
Stopping sharing what you need.
Taking on the full load.

I get it, postpartum is really hard.

So what can you do?

✨ If anything stands out on this list, let your partner know! Sometimes they don’t know - and we need to help them ‘learn up’ with us.

✨ Practice taking time just for you - even if partner doesn’t see that you are struggling.

✨ Keep connecting with what is meaningful to you. Your baby needs you to not lose you, too.

Knowing what you do now (outside of the postpartum period) what would you add to this list?

Deciding not to breastfeed is a valid choice for parents struggling with breastfeeding. As a parent, choosing your own mental health, physical health or emotional health by electing to switch to bottle feeding is a viable option to feeding your baby when the situation dictates it. What situations dictate the switch to bottles? It's a very short list:

1) Whenever the parents would like to bottle feed instead of breastfeed.

We need to take a step back and support families instead of blindly chasing ideals because on occasion, chasing those ideals can cause harm.

(A quick aside - any mentions of "breast is best", "fed is best", bottle shaming, etc will get deleted and that person will immediately get banned. This is a support page. Be supportive or leave.)
