Our team provides world class upper extremity care in a private practice setting. We have worked in collaboration with California Pacific Medical Center, the premier private medical center in the Bay Area, for over 25 years. Our academic roots trace back to Dr. Sterling Bunnell, the founding partner of San Francisco Shoulder, Elbow & Hand Clinic, who was the first president of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and who is regarded by many as the father of hand surgery. Over the years, the Clinic has expanded to become a national referral center for complex shoulder, elbow, and hand problems. Our staff is committed to being accessible, helpful, thorough, efficient and compassionate. Our surgeons are leaders in their respective fields who participate in research, product development, and physician education. We train two orthopaedic surgeons each year in of the treatment of shoulder, elbow, and hand conditions through the nationally recognized American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.
