Dr. Octavio is trained in both Eastern medicine and Western functional medicine. This means she uses standard laboratory testing to assess and diagnose, treats your test verified imbalance and then re-tests to ensure the treatment is working. She will work with your primary care doctor, ob/gyn, endocrinologist or pediatrician to personalize the best healthcare treatment options for you. Dr. Octavio serves patients well versed in Eastern medicine as well as patients skeptical or afraid of acupuncture. Dr. Giulietta Octavio established practice in 1992. It is a locally, woman owned and operated small business who has been proud to support San Francisco Bay Area residents with effective healthcare for over 24 years! We help adults and children with acute and chronic health conditions by providing personalized, holistic healthcare. Dr. Giulietta Octavio began as a center for massage therapy and nutritional counseling in the treatment of pain management in the San Francisco neighborhoods of the Mission and later Hayes Valley. In 2002, it added acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, chi nei tsang, chinese herbal medicine, supplements, functional medicine testing and abdominal massage for fertility, stress, digestion and of course pain relief. From 2004-2015 Dr. Giulietta Octavio was located in the San Francisco neighborhood of Bernal Heights. Giulietta Octavio is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine able to work with your primary care provider and specialty doctors to create a highly specific and personalized level of care to bring you the best possible relief. She is an experienced healthcare provider serving individuals and families in the SF bay area since 1992. She provides skilled, hands-on treatment for relief from pain, emotional stress, infertility, digestive and respiratory complaints. Dr. Octavio began her healthcare career as a physical therapy aid at San Francisco General Hospital. She has a BA in Somatics and Art Therapy, a MS in Acupuncture in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a DACM Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She is also certified in medical massage, sports massage and chi nei tsang/ Chinese abdominal massage for fertility. She has volunteered at Drawbridge- Art Therapy for Homeless Kids, Haight Ashbury Free Clinic and San Francisco General Hospital. She is a parent, a surfer, a cyclist, yogi, meditator and an avid student of language. Giulietta speaks English, French and Spanish. She someday hopes to learn the ukulele when she gets a bit more free time.
