BC2M High School Program

The BC2M High School Program is a youth-directed program utilizing active participation clubs as a means of fighting the stigma surrounding mental illness and learning more about mental wellness. In this proactive manner, the High School Program empowers and inspires teens to educate one another and their community, while creating a culture of peer support and promoting help-seeking behaviors within their schools. The High School Program stands apart from other programs because it provides teens with a platform to share their voices, and allows them the freedom and initiative to learn, educate, and raise awareness within their clubs and beyond.

Last month, we held the fourth annual BC2M Indiana Student Summit, 'Minds in Balance: Prioritizing Brain Health and Connections', at The AMP at 16 Tech in .

We welcomed 218 of our student leaders, members, and club advisors from Indiana BC2M Clubs. Through breakout sessions, participants engaged in meaningful small group conversations. The hands-on Activity Fair sparked ideas for students to take back to their schools, such as self-care kits, therapy dogs, aromatherapy, sculpting stories with play dough, a Silent Disco party, and more!

Our keynote speaker Dr. Juliagarcianyc, doctor of psychology and Speaker, left students feeling inspired and motivated to have the courage to speak up, because they are enough. Our emcee , Global Brand Manager and Emcee for the WNBA Indiana Fever and the NBA Indiana Pacers, inspired students and kept the flow amped!

A big thanks to our sponsors — the Indiana Department of Education, CareSource, and the Starbucks Foundation; our keynote speaker Dr. Julia Garcia; our emcee Olivia West; all of our vendors; and our amazing volunteers and staff. Your support makes these moments epic! Our teen advocates are changing the world.
