“She is a lust bucket and I love her for it.”
That’s astrologer and herbalist .thirdsister on Alphecca — the alpha star in the crown of Ariadne, sitting around 12° Scorpio, and one of the more startling fixed stars to actually meet.
Maeg came on to talk about plants and planets and correspondence magic—
Astrology and herbalism more or less co-arose, she says. The earliest records of plant-star-planet combinations go back to around 400 BCE. The practice is older than the record.
Maeg specializes in the fifth house — desire, pleasure, joy, and the part of us that wants to make things.
It’s also one of the most vulnerable places to enter.
Maeg sees client after client who can’t make art because they’re still hearing their parents say don’t waste those art supplies, they’re really expensive.
In this episode:
→ blackberry as a doorway to Saturn
→ Hawthorn coming to Chelsea in a dream and saying work with me
→ wood betony humbling Maeg out of being a Scientific Herbalist
→ the seventh-house mirror and the IFS U-turn doing the same work in different vocabularies
→ why Maeg sometimes refuses to research a plant on purpose
→ Alphecca, queen of cake and treats
