Shift is proud to welcome Crystal Bathgate and Matt Modean to the team as . Crystal and Matt will learn sourcing and recruiting first-hand as valued members of the Member Experience.

Crystal has spent the last 24 years in the Air Force filling many demanding roles including Security Forces, Technical Training Instructor, First Sergeant and Inspector General Superintendent. Her passion for helping people has driven her to pursue a career in Human Resources, with an interest in recruiting and talent acquisition. She is excited to join Shift as one of our newest SkillBridge interns.

Matt has spent the last four years working in the communications and IT space for the U.S. Army. Previous to that, he worked as an engineer at a DoD contractor on signal intelligence systems. He is excited to spend his remaining time on active duty at Shift as a SkillBridge Intern working to open new opportunities in tech for the military community.

We're thrilled to have Crystal and Matt become a part of the Shift family.

Shift is proud to announce that Katy Davis and Josh Duntz have joined the team as Account Executives! Katy and Josh will play a pivotal role in helping Shift scale new business B2B partnership efforts focused on high growth companies looking to implement a simplified veteran hiring initiative.

Katy has spent 6 years in technology sales as an Individual Contributor & Sales Manager. After transitioning to tech sales from a non-traditional background, she served as a hiring manager in a hyper-growth start-up where she experienced first hand the challenges both candidates & companies face in making the right hires at scale. She is thrilled to join in Shift’s effort to solve this problem for the military community where she joins our Partnership team as an Account Executive.

Josh spent a decade in the Navy’s bomb squad before becoming one of Shift’s first SkillBridge candidates in 2019. He went on to start his own company where he sold respiratory therapeutic programs into hospitals throughout the height of the pandemic. His passion for the veteran community led him back to Shift where he joins our Partnership team as an Account Executive.

Today is a day to celebrate our Shift interns.

We want to send a huge thank you to Alana Evans for being our social media marketing intern this summer. She managed our social media presence across our social channels, increasing our followers by 6%, and designed and launched our newsletter, The Shift Dispatch, to our military community. She's a future marketing leader-we don't know what we're going to do without her!

Throughout Ethan Elsaden's Business Operations internship this summer, he was key in our day-to-day operations. He developed reporting and research that helped implement new platforms for our Finance and People teams – he builds to scale! A BIG thank you to Ethan.

We are grateful we had the opportunity to work with these incredible interns and for the major value they brought to the team over the course of the summer!

Shift is thrilled that two dynamic leaders will be joining our diverse family of individuals, from both military and civilian sectors, who are deeply committed to our mission.

After previously contracting with Shift for the last several months, Chris Courtney (C2) has officially joined the team as our Director of Design! He has been nothing but amazing in adding immediate value as our multi-faceted head of design and we are so happy that he chose to join us formally on our journey that's just getting started.

Emily Saul will be joining Shift as a Talent Acquisition Partner! She has incredibly well-rounded experience that was evident in both acquisition strategy and efforts as well as creating and leveraging "back end" and internal process infrastructures. The cherry on top is the true value alignment here with her desire and dedication to truly make an impact in diversity hiring efforts within and outside of Shift.

We have big goals over the coming months, and these two individuals are going to help us pursue these ambitions with success...

We’re looking for an individual to join the Shift team as an Account Executive and work alongside Shaun Krilanovich, Lauren Bellinger, and Veronica Napoli to secure partnerships and continue building a robust network of hiring partners who are hungry to hire from our programs and increase their veteran footprint.

As an Account Executive at Shift, you will be on the front lines of our business and are responsible for building relationships that deliver unique employment opportunities for our military community members. You’ll be selling access to our Talent Tool software platform to C-suite, HR, Talent and D&I leaders in major metropolitan job markets across the country, and will lay the foundation for successful partner implementations of the platform.

We are aggressively building our Account Executive team organically, in remote roles across the U.S. and are looking for teammates with diverse backgrounds and experience, and growth mindsets. This role is remote, and requires 2+ years experience in an account executive or other client-facing sales role at a high-growth company or staffing and recruiting agency.

This fall, another group of 100 talented members of the Department of Defense will take part in Session Four (October 4 – December 3) of our eight-week long upskilling immersion fellowship that identifies emerging innovators from the U.S. military (Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Space Force, and US Coast Guard) and facilitates immersive tech industry experiences at venture capital firms, incubators and startups across the United States like Emerson Collective, General Catalyst, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and Harpoon Ventures...

The Defense Ventures Program is a competitive 8-week industry immersion program where DoD personnel are embedded in companies across the United States and exposed to new organizational methods, business models, technologies, and capabilities.
