Today is World Diabetes Day. In the U.S., 2% to 10% of pregnancies are affected by Gestational Diabetes. Gestational Diabetes usually presents after week 24 of a pregnancy. Because there are rarely symptoms, providers recommend testing all pregnant women so that a treatment plan can begin as soon as possible. Wildflower works supports all pregnancy journeys, including Gestational Diabetes.

🔷 November, National Diabetes Month, is a time when communities seek to bring attention to this disease. More than 10% of the population currently have Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes, and millions more are at risk. While many are aware of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes may be a new term to some.

🤰 Managing diabetes in pregnancy calls for help and support in all aspects of a pregnant woman’s experience, including daily testing, meal and snack planning, and supporting mental and emotional health. The good news is that women with diabetes are not alone.

🤝 Working with moms for more than a decade, Wildflower Health and its clinical partners know how crucially important it is for pregnant women to know about gestational diabetes.

MEET Wildflower Health

Wildflower Health was born to help women make better healthcare decisions through the device that’s always at hand – their smartphone.

“When I was pregnant in with my first child I recognized that what should be a time of joy was often tempered by uncertainty about health plan benefits, hospital services and appointment schedules. How could I help myself and my fellow moms better navigate this healthcare system for the entire family? I launched Wildflower Health and the Family Health mobile app to help the Chief Health Officer of the Home track family health with tools to navigate the growth of each family member.” – Leah Sparks, CEO & Founder
