Herbal Tea Blend for Menstrual support

Yields 2-3 cups of infusion.

This hearty and nourishing infusion blend will support you throughout your cycle. The strong, rich flavors of raspberry and nettles are supported by the gentle sweetness of oatstraw and anise hyssop, enriched with a floral hint of rose and earthy undertones of burdock root.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup organic oatstraw
1/4 cup organic anise hyssop
1/8 cup organic nettle leaf
1/8 cup organic burdock root
I Tbsp. organic raspberry leaf
1 Tbsp. organic rose petals
Directions:

Add the herbs into a glass quart jar, and place in your kitchen sink to fill the jar with boiling water
Cap your jar and let it sit 4-8 hours or overnight
Squeeze out the herbs through a mesh kitchen strainer and compost the plant material (super nourishing for your plants).
Your infusion will keep in the fridge for several days (no worries, like food, it smells sour when spoiled)
Just warm up a mug at a time, unsweetened—or add honey if you like. Sip in the natural support of the plants and the Earth to ground you as you reconnect with the cycles of the moon and women throughout the ages.

Healthy Vitamin C Herbal Tea Infusion

It's hydrating, nourishing and has some medicinal properties when prepared as an herbal tea infusion.

Relax Tea Blend
Stress can do crazy and awful things to our bodies. It can wreak havoc in a short amount of time leaving us drained, exhausted, and sick. There are many ways to cope with stress, and one of them can be with herbs to help support the body and calm the nerves down. So if you’re going through a stressful time, say a pandemic, this may be the tea for you!

Relax Tea Blend
Ingredients
2 parts dried linden flowers

2 parts dried chamomile flowers

1 part dried rose petals

1 part dried skullcap

1/2 part dried lavender

Directions
You can make as big or as small of a batch as you wish. If you want to go big, use a 1 cup measuring cup for your “part” for example. If you wish to go small, use a tablespoon or even a teaspoon.

So if you choose a tablespoon as your “part” you would use:

2 tablespoons linden flowers

2 tablespoons chamomile flowers

1 tablespoon rose petals

1 tablespoon skullcap

1/2 tablespoon lavender

Measuring out all the ingredients and mix to combine. Store in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid.

How to Brew a cup of tea
For each 8 ounce cup you can use anywhere from 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon. Personally I go closer towards the tablespoon. This tea blend is very light and floral-y, as well as being a very “fluffy” tea as far as volume goes so I prefer more of it. But feel free to experiment and see what your taste buds like. A touch of honey is delicious in this.

I make mine by pouring nearly boiling water over a tea strainer right into my cup. I then cover it with a little plate since all these herbs contain lots of volatile compounds which evaporate quickly. Let it steep for about 3-5 minutes, remove the tea strainer, mix in some sweetener if you wish and enjoy

Use unblemished clean leaves which have not been sprayed with any chemicals. Alternatively you can purchase organic olive leaves.
Fill almost all of the jar with the olive leaves.

Once the jar is almost full, pour the apple cider vinegar or vegetable glycerine over the leaves to cover.
If you’re using a metal lid, line it with wax paper so that the vinegar doesn’t corrode it, and then put the lid on. Place in a dark room, at room temperature.

Shake occasionally and let the tincture steep for about 6 week or more.
After a minimum of 6 weeks shake well and then strain the tincture using a cheesecloth or fine mesh sieve. Transfer in to a sterilised jar and keep in a dark place. For dosages, you can transfer a small amount in an amber glass dropper bottle.

Dosage: I would take 2ml of tincture 3 times a day.
