Join me and ! Go Local Initiative! Press conference coming up on October 11th, at 12pm!
Join Councilmember Noel Gallo, leaders of
National and Decriminalize Nature Oakland, as well as local Indigenous, PoC, and sacred plant stewards and activists for a press conference and rally to kick off a year-long Go Local Initiative. This would create city legislation to develop local and community-serving economic models for entheogens, also known as ancestral sacred plants/fungi. The legislation, to be drafted through an extensive community-involvement
process, will focus on enabling Indigenous healers, local underground facilitators, artisans, and craftspeople to benefit from the reemergence of plant medicines for healing community.
Let’s ensure those who have been doing the work with ancestral sacred plant/fungi medicines in the City of for many years receive the benefits of the new-found interest in psychedelics by promoting the creation of local economy! Let’s prevent the extractive policies such as those that emerged under Prop 64! JOIN US ON 10/11/21 AT NOON!
