As of June 7, 2018 we are offering a new Cancer Plan that is available through employers, as well as to individuals (direct). There are some very exciting benefit additions that include Genetic Testing as well as preventative surgeries due to the findings. Dependent Children are covered as part of the plan or with additional coverage available as a rider. There is also a partnership with an organization to provide the care givers support and resources. I know first hand how import that is. This plan is a big deal to me. As some of you may or may not know, I lost my mom to cancer, and found that the gene is present in the family line. As an only child it was hard to juggle caring for my mom, and keeping my own family afloat and on track. This plan in any form would have been a huge game changer. I know families right now that have children, and grands fighting the cancer battle right now. This plan was designed to help support the family and the care givers as they all go through this fight.
