From Julie Millman:

Ed Reed passed away this morning. Ed graced us with his physical presence for 94 years and 363 days. Ed is my role model and unofficial mentor. He had a long and meaningful life and yet this loss is still heartbreaking. He taught me so much personally and professionally and I try to share what I learned from him with others. I know he had doubters in his life, and he surprised them all when he quit he**in n his 50s and started a couple of new careers- one in service to others and one in music Ed Reed (the singer)- also a service to others, but in a different way. Anytime I doubt what I can still do with the rest of my life, I think of Ed and I know I am the only one holding myself back. Thank you Ed for everything. My heart goes out to Diane Reed and all of us who love Ed. RIP.
