Can you spot the scar? This patient is photographed 1 year after undergoing a face, neck, and temple lift with a beautifully healed, nearly imperceptible scar behind the ear.

Facelift surgery typically requires an incision that begins at the sideburn, travels in front of the ear, around the earlobe, behind the ear, and partially into the hairline. Beyond the scar itself, several key details contribute to a truly natural facelift result:⁠

→ A natural-looking, curved tragus with a soft depression in front of it.⁠
→ A sideburn that has not been elevated too high.⁠
→ A rounded earlobe that is not stuck to the cheek or pulled too low or too far forward.

The best facelift results don’t look operated on, they simply look refreshed, elegant, and natural.
