PCOS Awareness Month is here, but the conversation should never be limited to just one month…

Behind every statistic are women navigating unanswered questions, delayed diagnoses, and the emotional weight of not being heard. Awareness is just the first step. What truly matters is education, empathy, and action.

At kegg, we believe in opening up conversations about fertility and hormone health that are too often overlooked. Because when women understand their bodies, they can advocate for the care they deserve.

💬 Have you or someone you love been affected by PCOS? Share your experience in the comments; your story might be the one that helps another woman feel less alone.

Traveling or feeling stressed… and suddenly your fertile window doesn’t line up like usual? You’re not imagining it.

Stress raises cortisol, which can delay or even block ovulation. And travel (especially crossing time zones) messes with your circadian rhythm, shifting when ovulation happens.

That’s why your fertile window can feel unpredictable when life gets hectic.

The good news? With kegg, you can see these changes in real-time and stay connected to your cycle so you’re never left guessing.

Did you know your cervix can actually store s***m? 🤯

Here’s how it works: tiny pockets called cervical crypts hold s***m safe and nourished for up to 5 days, while your cervical mucus acts as the gatekeeper: filtering, guiding, and protecting the healthiest swimmers. 🧬✨

This powerful combo means your body is designed to keep s***m alive long enough to meet the egg during ovulation. Understanding your mucus patterns = understanding your fertility window. 🌸

💚 With kegg, tracking these changes is simple, empowering, and personalized, so you can connect with your body’s natural rhythm.

👉 Save this post to revisit during your cycle, and share it with a friend who’d find it fascinating!

There are endless myths about how your fertility *actually* works until you actually do the research and find out the truth...

Using kegg during your luteal phase?

Here’s what to expect (and why your readings MAY feel a little... underwhelming).

After ovulation, your hormone levels shift, progesterone rises, cervical mucus dries up, and your fertile window officially closes.

That means:
1. Your kegg readings may likely drop and stay low
2. You might feel bloated, tired, or emotional
3. And yes… the symptom-spotting spiral begins

But here’s the good news:
1. kegg shows your peak fertile days & ovulation probability
2. You don’t have to keep guessing
3. You can rest, recharge, and stop testing every 5 minutes (we see you 👀)

📣PSA TO EVERYONE WITH A UTERUS 📣

Your cervix does SO MUCH MORE than you think, especially when you’re trying to conceive.

Every month, your cervix produces different types of mucus. And when it turns clear, stretchy, and slippery (think egg whites 🥚), that’s your body’s way of saying:
“Hey! Ovulation is near. I’m ready!”

This cervical mucus isn’t just a signal. It actually guides and protects s***m, creating the perfect path to the egg.

And the wild part? Most of us were never taught this. Not in school. Not at the doctor’s office. Not even when we start TTC.

But here’s the good news: your body already knows what to do.
You just need to learn to understand it.

Your cervix is not static.

It shifts, it softens, it opens and closes, in rhythm with your cycle.

If you’ve never been taught about cervical position, you’re not alone. Most of us weren’t.

But this small, powerful part of your body plays a huge role in fertility awareness.

Here’s the gist:
1. During your period, your cervix is low, firm, and open to allow menstrual flow.
2. As you approach ovulation, it rises and softens.
3. Around ovulation, it becomes high, soft, and open, making it easier for s***m to enter.
4. After ovulation, it drops and firms back up, signaling the end of the fertile window.

Learning to observe these changes (along with your cervical mucus) can help you recognize exactly when you're fertile.

It's not guesswork, it’s biology, and it’s body literacy.

And, it’s so powerful.

You want support interpreting your cervical mucus changes in real-time? That’s what kegg was made for.

Heavy flow? Missing period? Painful cramps? These aren’t random, they’re messages. And when you start tracking your cycle, especially with tools like kegg that focus on cervical mucus, you begin to read your body’s language in real time.

✨ Your cycle is your report card. Let’s start listening.

Our story

When women understand what is going on with their own bodies, they can take their health into their own hands. Our vision at kegg is to equip women with a deep fertility insight to empower them to make decisions about their own reproductive health.

Kristina, the Founder, was shocked when her OB/GYN doctor told her to track her fertility by checking her vaginal fluids daily with her fingers. All she wanted was an accurate way to track her cycles naturally, but the au naturel way only left her more stressed and worried.

We live in a world where autonomous cars take over the streets and robots perform surgery and yet, women are still being told to use their fingers to access their fertile window. The only other device that measures cervical mucus, which is the golden metric for cyclical conception, is a metal probe (20 inches long) connected to a small computer with cables.

Its time technology caught up with us.
