Looking for ways to heal from near death, eye loss, trauma, and identity shift; is a multi-disciplinary approach to express the need of transformation. are captured moments in time of the rediscovery of sight, with the juxtaposition of loss and how we take vision for granted. The journey of recovery from a major health disaster in the United States historically is convoluted with debt, backwards institutions, societal ignorance … are words of self-documentation of this process, while the stigma is deep … are also images parodying and defying labels of disability in an effort to free oneself by reinvention. And finally through performances with time-capturing devices invokes self-mythology by creating a future identity.
