Join a three-part supervision group focused on countertransference in complex relational and s*xual scenarios. This series provides clinicians with a supportive space to reflect on the emotional and relational dynamics that emerge in their work. Supervisees are provided with a supervision contract and hours count towards AASECT Certified S*x Therapist requirements.

Through guided dialogue and peer reflection, participants will explore how biases, reactions, and emotions influence clinical practice, while developing strategies to navigate these experiences with integrity and enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

I’m proud to share my latest publication: Affirmative Dialectical Behavior Therapy Graduate Group With LGBTQ+ Veterans! 🏳️‍🌈

This work highlights how adapting DBT Graduate Groups within an affirmative framework is feasible and acceptable to LGBTQ+ veterans and can address emotion dysregulation, dysfunctional coping, and improve mental health outcomes. It’s an honor to contribute to the growing body of research that bridges evidence-based care with the unique lived experiences of LGBTQ+ communities.

I often share updates and milestones, but this one is by far the most meaningful: I’m now officially board-certified in Clinical Psychology through the ABPP - American Board of Professional Psychology

Since beginning my clinical psychology training in 2018, board certification, which is pursued by only 4% of psychologists, has been a long-term goal of mine. ABPP certification represents more than a credential. Board certification is a rigorous, peer-reviewed process that affirms advanced competency, ethical integrity, and a deep commitment to excellence in psychological practice. It signals to colleagues, institutions, and the public that we uphold the highest standards in our field.

As an LGBTQ+ psychologist, this achievement is especially meaningful. Our communities remain underrepresented in leadership and specialization across the field. I hope my visibility inspires LGBTQ+ students and psychologists to pursue board certification not just as a mark of distinction, but as a statement that we belong at every level of this profession!

I'm thrilled to share that our latest article, "As*xual-Affirming Care: Recommendations for Practice," has just been published in the National Register of Health Service Psychologists Journal of Health Service Psychology! 🎉

This work, developed during my clinical postdoctoral fellowship alongside my amazing supervisors, James Michael Brennan and Kaela Joseph, PhD, explores the unique healthcare challenges faced by as*xual individuals and offers a comprehensive framework for providing culturally competent, as*xual-affirming mental healthcare.

Our article delves into the importance of recognizing and addressing the distinct experiences of as*xual clients and advocating for an inclusive and person-centered approach to mental health services. It also includes practical recommendations for mental health professionals to better support as*xual clients, including those with intersecting minoritized identities.

I'm incredibly proud of this contribution to advancing affirmative care practices and look forward to continuing this vital work 💜♠️
