PROTECT MEDICAID. ENSURE THAT NEEDED SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE.
"Families struggling with mental health and addiction need help, not hurdles that take away their coverage and care."

In many states, Medicaid funds mental health services for young children who have experienced trauma. Trauma can include medical trauma, disasters, and exposure to violence.

Our research shows that when children get relationship-based trauma-informed services, they show improvements in:
* Their mood
* Trauma symptoms
* Relationships
* Biological stress response (cortisol, cellular aging)
* Learning
* Behavior problems

Their parents also show improvements in:
* Mood
* Trauma symptoms
* Parenting stress
* Relationships

This week we were fortunate enough to have a gathering that included many of the CPP Learning Collaborative Trainers from the United States. We are missing and are thinking of those of you who are not with us.

It's been a time to connect, to dream, and to plan. What a fabulous group of people, those present and those in our hearts. It is heartwarming to be together and to know how much goodness and healing our community is part of.

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE GREAT RIVER CHILDREN’S MUSEUM IS THE VISION OF JANE ELLISON, A MEMBER OF OUR CPP FAMILY, AND HER HUSBAND GLEN PALM?

A special CPP shoutout to Jane and Glen. As Minnesota’s CPP trainer, Jane leads CPP learning collaboratives and provides training and support for the CPP Agency Mentorship Program for multiple agencies across the state. Glen is a Professor Emeritus of Child and Family Studies at St. Cloud. He has written extensively about fathers, ethics, and parent education. In their spare time, they helped to co-found a children’s museum – amazing and fabulous right?

Glen and Jane imagined a children’s museum and made it happen. Tomorrow, June 10th, the Great River Children's Museum in St. Cloud Minnesota will open to the p***c
Senator Amy Klobuchar toured the museum in June 6th.

Learn more about Jane and Glen’s amazing journey - from idea “A children’s museum in St. Cloud would be a great way for kids to play, to learn to interact socially. Wouldn’t that be nice?” – to building a shared vision with community members – to fundraising and planning – to the opening of a museum. Jane and Glen, we celebrate you and what you have helped create!
