🚨¡SALVEMOS LA ACUPUNTURA!🚨El Gobernador Newsom propone eliminar la cobertura de acupuntura para miles de personas que dependen de Medi-Cal en California. La acupuntura ha ayudado a muchas personas a vivir con el dolor crónico de manera natural, a prevenir problemas de salud más graves y a reducir la dependencia de opioides y otros medicamentos fuertes. Quitar el acceso a este beneficio preventivo afectará especialmente a comunidades trabajadoras, adultos mayores y familias de bajos ingresos, y podría generar costos aún mayores para Medi-Cal en el futuro.

Acompáñenos junto al Supervisor Danny Sauter, Abogado de la Ciudad de San Francisco David Chiu, NEMS, funcionarios electos y líderes comunitarios este jueves 28 de mayo a las 9:00 AM en Portsmouth Square, en el Chinatown de San Francisco, para alzar la voz y oponernos a la eliminación de los beneficios de acupuntura de Medi-Cal.

🚨保留針灸服務！🚨 加州州長紐森提議取消加州醫療補助計劃 (Medi-Cal/白卡) 為成千上萬的加州人士提供的針灸福利。針灸是一種有效且全面的疼痛管理方式，可以降低病人對鴉片類藥物和其它止痛藥物的依賴。取消該福利將限制許多人獲取這項關鍵的預防性護理，長期而言可能會為 Medi-Cal 帶來更大的費用成本。

🚨SAVE ACUPUNCTURE!🚨Governor Newsom is proposing to eliminate acupuncture for thousands of Californians on Medi-Cal. Acupuncture is an effective and holistic method for pain management and has been linked to a lower dependence on opioids and other pain medications. Eliminating access to this critical preventative service is shortsighted and will result in much greater costs to Medi-Cal in the future.

Join Supervisor Danny Sauter, San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu, NEMS, and other elected officials and community leaders on Thursday, May 28, at 9:00 AM for a press conference at Portsmouth Square in San Francisco’s Chinatown to oppose the proposed elimination of acupuncture benefits from Medi-Cal!
