I have been loving my Super Wellness journey with Edith Ubuntu Chan, and learning fascinating new things about WATER these last weeks!
Did you know that there are 4 phases of water? Yes, FOUR! 1) gas/vapor, 2) liquid, 3) solid, and 4) a gel-like phase between liquid and solid, sometimes called Exclusion Zone or EZ Water, or structured water. It is this Fourth Phase of Water that is inside our cells and drives our cellular function, energy, detoxification and well, health of the body.
It is very likely that most, if not all of us are chronically dehydrated on some level, as adequate hydration has not only to do with how much water we are drinking, but the quality of water (amount of EZ Water) in our bodies. It turns out there are many simple and easy ways that we can increase the amount of EZ Water in the body. Here are a few of my favorites:
- Sunlight - expose your water and your body to sunlight
- Go out in nature / grounding
- Move! - movement, especially twisting, squeezes the fascia (your water delivery system) and generates energy for your cells
- Eat your EZ Water by eating a high plant diet! - some of the most hydrating ones to include are apples, cucumbers, celery and aloe
- Eat high quality fats - coconut, avocados, walnuts, chia seeds, ghee
- Add a pinch of sea salt to your water
