Lately, I’ve been doctoring and running a business a little too hard, so here’s a bit of lifestyle content to remind both you and me—taking time off is important. One of the best-kept productivity secrets? Making space for rest and joy.
Whether I’m near the water or exploring a sunny city, I wear polarized lenses to reduce glare and keep my vision crisp. I always add anti-glare coating on the back and a soft flash mirror on the front for both comfort and style. And yes, oversized sunglasses help protect against wrinkles too.

Happy Mother’s Day to this incredible woman who taught me everything by example.

At the age of 26, my mother and father moved from Taiwan to Brazil without any money to start a business. Ten years later, they saved up enough money to move to the US in pursuit of the American dream. They built a life, their business and supported me through undergraduate and optometry school at UC Berkeley.

By her example, I learned to trust myself and pursue my dreams with confidence. By her example, I grew up with an entrepreneurial mindset.
By her example, I always try to view people through empathy and compassion.

Thank you mom for being my very first and forever teacher. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers who love, nurture, and teach by example. 💕

Here’s the truth about - it’s a progressive, inflammatory disease. There’s no cure for dry eyes, however, there are numerous effective treatments. And maintenance therapy will be required.

Don’t let dry eyes go untreated as it can cause long term damage to the cornea and even vision loss. It’ll be worth it!
