Then I joined Facebook and found all my lost friends. 15 years of homelessness, 13 years with full blown AIDS and Social Service stagnation and discrimination had really taken a toll on me, but my depression lifted as I gained affirmation and realigned my life with proper living, goal setting and achievement. I'm a disabled media professional no longer hampered by AIDS medication and looking for something to do. When I started getting sick with AIDS and couldn't work full time I found some part time jobs through mosaic.com, which I highly recommend! I was sort of embarrassed about these jobs at first becausse they were only part time. I had been working for National Geographic photographers as a Photo Editor, which was kinda heady, and I was disappointed with freelance photography, so I landed these jobs as a marketing rep for, now check out the list of companies: MSN/direct, SBC/Yahoo!, Epson, Olympus, Toshiba, Best Buy Movies and American Express Merchant Services. I'm not embarrassed now; that's a great list of experience, and I think it goes neatly with my work in other sectors: private, non-profit, government and off-the-grid, a decade of work in each sector! So now I'm going to use all of that experience to go out into the world anew and see what I can do. Figuring there were others like me who could use some more money and needed something to do while quitting drugs or waiting for things in beurocratland to pan out, I decided to make my outreach trip a community project and will share what I learn from the techies and locals of CLOUD CITY.
