We have exciting news: we closed our Series B funding round, led by Valtruis, a Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe portfolio company!

As we expand our comprehensive approach to kidney care across the country, our CEO Robert Sepucha shared his reflection on how far kidney care has come and where it must go from here.

In 1972, former American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) president Shep Glazer testified before Congress with something out of the ordinary — a dialysis machine larger than a dishwasher, connected to his arm. At the time, this technology was revolutionary, changing the meaning of a kidney fa...

We are proud to announce our Series B funding round! It is a time of great success and growth for Cricket Health and we are excited to expand across the country to meet the growing demand for our proven kidney care model.

The funding was led by Valtruis, a Welsh, Carson, Anderson, & Stowe portfolio company, joined by existing investors Oak HC/FT and Cigna Ventures, as well as K2 HealthVentures and Blue Shield of California.

Our health plan partners, including Blue Shield of CA and Cigna, are seeing remarkable clinical outcomes for people with kidney disease, which results in lower costs for our health plan partners and better lives for their members. Health care leaders have recognized this -- it's why they're joining our Series B.

Our StageSmart™ machine learning model uses predictive GFR (pGFR™) to help health plans and providers identify individuals with kidney disease and determine what stage they are in, and our MyCricket™ platform then helps people connect with a multidisciplinary care team, peer support, and educational resources online, by phone, or in-person.

Today we announced our new approach to value-based kidney care designed for Medicare Advantage plans. Our personalized care management program intervenes earlier and keeps both CKD and ESKD populations healthy, at home, and out of the hospital.

By identifying kidney disease earlier and providing education, peer support, and personalized care, we will empower individuals to better manage their condition, which will improve health outcomes while reducing costs for MA plans.

As kidney care costs continue to grow, we are confident that this program will provide excellent value to plans and those depending on them. https://www.crickethealth.com/2021/03/cricket-health-launches-new-approach-to-kidney-care-for-medicare-advantage-plans/
