Happy Solstice my friends:
Blessing for the Longest Night

All throughout these months
as the shadows have lengthened,
this blessing has been gathering itself,
making ready, preparing for this night.

It has practiced walking in the dark,
traveling with its eyes closed,
feeling its way by memory, by touch
by the pull of the moon even as it wanes.

So believe me when I tell you
this blessing will reach you
even if you have not light enough to read it;
it will find you even though you cannot see it coming.

You will know the moment of its arriving
by your release of the breath you have held so long,
a loosening of the clenching in your hands,
of the clutch around your heart;
a thinning of the darkness that had drawn itself around you.

This blessing does not mean to take the night away
but it knows its hidden roads,
knows the resting spots along the path,

For 12 sacred days we’ll come together for meditation, reflection and to gather insight for the New Year to come. I will share journal prompts, and create space, to reflect on each of the next 12 months of the year to unfold. We’ll draw tarot/oracle cards for each month of the coming year, and begin to connect in with our intentions for the new year. This will be a powerful inner journey at a time of heightened insight.

PART 3 - Connect with the Energy of 2025
We will come together again on Jan 25, 2025 to seed the intentions we have connected with through this ritual process. I am choosing this date as it is closer to the Lunar Year, and the beginning of early Spring (Imbolc is often celebrated around Feb 1-2) on the wheel of the year. We’ll look at the numerology of 2025 (a 9 year representing a cycle of completion), connect with the energy of the year of the snake, and the tarot card for the year (The Hermit - turning within, seeking inner light, lighting the path for others)

Join me for a year-end / new year series and ritual to release 2024, and step into 2025 with clarity, insight and intention.

Part One: Winter Solstice Workshop:
We’ll begin to compost 2024 with an energy clearing for the year-end. We’ll gather to begin the process of clearing out energetically from the year, and welcoming back the light on the shortest day (and longest night) of the year.

Part Two: Yule Days Ritual + Reflection 
We will drop into a twelve day ritual of self-reflection and intentional practice on the special days after Yule/Winter Solstice. For 12 sacred days (note : this is where the original “12 Days of Christmas” comes from) we’ll come together for meditation, reflection and to gather insight for the New Year to come. 

I will share journal prompts, and create space, to reflect on each of the next 12 months of the year to unfold. We’ll draw tarot/oracle cards for each month of the coming year, and begin to connect in with our intentions for the new year. This will be a powerful inner journey at a time of heightened insight.

During the 12 day ritual, we will connect through live daily group calls - lasting approximately 30 minutes each, where we’ll meditate together and engage on a different topic for journaling each day. We’ll also draw our tarot/oracle cards together during each LIVE gathering. (For instance, Day 1 = January,  Day 2 =  February, etc)

In ancient times, the twelve days of Yuletide were traditionally celebrated in the northern hemisphere beginning on the eve of Winter Solstice (Dec 21) and ending on the new calendar year. This was a time of inward reflection, to reflect on the past year and look to the new one. To honor the slow return of the sun as the wheel of the year turns. This was celebrated by pagans all across Europe and was one of the most important celebrations of the year in ancient times. As with many of the ancient holy days, Christianity revised/co-opted the pagan practice to the twelve days of Christmas, beginning on Christmas day and ending on Twelfth Night (Epiphany Eve).

April is not letting up! Hopefully you made it through the eclipse earlier this month relatively unscathed. I sure didn’t. Lots of changes, and challenges are being presented and I am working through them.

And now we have today’s Scorpio full moon to contend with before Mercury goes direct. If you’re feeling emotional, you’re feeling this full moon.

Scorpio is a water sign that lives to plumb the depths, so expect to feel the feels, and then feel them some more. We still have a few more days till Mercury goes direct, so you may feel like hiding away until the end of the week. April has been an intense month, give yourself permission to retreat and regroup.

One of my teachers shared this nugget “This full moon along with this past eclipse portal and Mercury Rx are showing you what has been in the darkness of your being. They are illuminating how that which is dark can be catalyzed by the light.”

I recommend sitting and being with what it is - have a good cry, take a bath, journal, vent, purge, be with yourself and honor this time. It’s ripe and rich, even if it’s emotional. And get ready to move forward again after April 25th. Things should start to ease up by the weekend. And we can look forward to the fiery energy of Beltane on May 1st to truly clear out the dross

And take heart knowing you are not alone if you are going through it this month. This Scorpio full moon is always one of the most intense of the year. Everything coming up now is coming up to be healed and released. You can do it!

Are you feeling this week's eclipse 🌒 energy? We are in the midst of two eclipses in Aries/Libra - the next one on April 8th is getting all the attention - but this eclipse series began back in October (the exact day I was in a bad bicycle crash). I actually didn’t leave the house on Monday, just to be safe. I am fully recovered from that accident but I wasn’t taking any chances.

But I am still working with these eclipse energies. Since Monday was the full moon, I am working with the energy of releasing. I have been deeply cleaning my home, and saying yes to spring cleaning! I’ve been ruthlessly purging items. And it is liberating.

On a spiritual/mental level, I am also working to release what no longer serves me. This is a great time to come up with a list of “I release…” statements. The Libra energies of peace, harmony, diplomacy, balance, justice, and relationship (with others, with myself) are what I’ve been tuning into.

How are my relationships serving me?

What are my mental attachments?

Is there a story you are telling yourself over and over again that needs releasing?

Is there some programming you can release out of like : I’m not good enough, I’m not smart enough, I’m not worthy.

I am really focusing on my relationship with myself, and that inner monologue that’s running or reappears when I thought I was done with it.

With this eclipse portal you can also be looking back to October of 2023, and see if there are any themes coming back up for you to work with. I realized, as I was sitting with the full moon energy, that what I was feeling just before I had that bike accident in October is very present for me again.

Take some quiet time to consider where and who you were six months ago, and where you are now.

That can be the framework for your releasing statements. Release what no longer serves you.
