The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) expresses deep concern over the U.S. Department of Justice’s new guidance to federal agencies implementing Executive Order 14224, which revokes Executive Order 13166, a longstanding mandate requiring federal agencies and recipients of federal funding to ensure meaningful access to services for individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP).

Senator Cory Booker, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, and US Rep Nanette Diaz Barragán just introduced , which would allow im/migrant families to get the care they need without barriers and without having to worry about their income or status.

We’re grateful to these elected leaders for introducing this bill and fighting to make sure our im/migrant communities can get the care they need!

Trump signed H.R. 1, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” into law—a sweeping federal funding package that dismantles Medicaid and jeopardizes access to health care for millions of Americans. The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) strongly denounces this legislation.
