The Building Commissioning Agent provides mechanical engineering consulting and troubleshooting support for facilities operations, playing a lead role in optimizing operational efficiencies of the HVACR, central plant and distribution systems. He/She will also actively participate in developing and updating campus commissioning guidelines and standards plus turnover to operations processes. The Mechanical Engineer consults other University departments as needed. In addition, the Building Commissioning Agent will develop retro-commissioning scope, plans, and estimates, as well as reviewing maintenance plans to improve reliability.

The Histotechnologist prepares tissue specimens for examination by a Pathologist. They are required to fix, embed, cut skin tissue and apply a wide variety of immunohistochemical stains as well as other special stains ordered by the Pathologist.

• prepares solutions, maintains laboratory equipment and keeps detailed records of work processed
• performs quality control procedures and evaluate results and must resolve minor technical and equipment problems in the lab
• supports activities required for JCAHO accreditation by assisting in updated lab manuals as needed
• performs the full scope of technical duties in the laboratory as needed
• ensures that equipment is maintained and used properly
• assists in monitoring the lab antibody database to be sure that reagents are current.
