✨ Dr. Judy Cao, OD had the honor of speaking at USC on the role of vision care in headache management! ✨

Neuro-Optometrist’s Role in Headache Treatment:

1. Comprehensive Neuro-Optometric Evaluation (Neuro-Visual Evaluation)
2. Diagnosing Underlying Neuro-Visual Dysfunctions
3. Prescribing Therapeutic Prisms, Lenses and/or Tints
4. Developing individualized vision therapy (neuro-optometric rehabilitation) treatment plans
5. Interdisciplinary Collaboration (working closely with neurologists, occupational therapist, physical therapists, nurse practicioners, pain management psychologists & many more)

A special thank you to neurologists, Dr. Chelsea Stone, DO and Dr. Soma Sahai-Srivastava, MD for their support in making this event possible, it was such a privilege. 🙏

Our 71 yo patient explains how vision therapy has helped him with

1. Improving his lazy eye (amblyopia)
2. Improving his strabismus (eye turn)
3. Improving his neck strain (To relieve discomfort from a lazy eye, patients often compensate by straining their neck or adjusting other parts of their body)
