Cases of West Nile virus (WNV) are rising in many states. Some people can become very sick from WNV.

Be aware of WNV activity in your area to help protect yourself and others.

WNV is spread by the bite of a mosquito. You can prevent bites by:

✔️ Using an EPA – registered insect repellent
✔️ Wearing loose, long-sleeved clothing

The risk for disease continues until after the first local frost.

The Mobile Food Distribution takes on Today from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.!

They will continue to take applications, this will cover your household from July 1, 2023, until June 30, 2024.
For each household receiving food, one requirement is to complete The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) application, if you do not meet income guidelines, you still will qualify to get food items.

If a household would prefer another individual to pick up a distribution on their behalf, they will need to complete the Proxy form, this gives authorization for others to pick up their USDA foods.

Yáʼátʼééh San Illdefonso!

I hope you are all recovered from Tuesday’s events. What was the highlight of your Santiago Day? For me, I was taken with the youth from our education department coming over to hug me. It made my day. J

As you may all be aware, today is our monthly food distribution, and in this distribution items may include, grapes, apples, lettuce, bread, and beef, with pantry bags. This will happen from 11 am - 12:30 pm at the Senior Center.

To get food, please complete The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) application. The ‘new’ application will cover your household from July 1, 2023, until June 30, 2024.

If a household would prefer another individual to pick up a distribution on their behalf, they will need to complete the Proxy form, this gives authorization for others to pick up their USDA foods.

*Note, income limits: The new TEFAP eligibility requirements and changes to the income guidelines could allow more families an opportunity to qualify for food assistance. So if you did not meet the income limits in the last application, you may qualify this time.
