The County has made significant improvements in the amount of time it takes to respond to people who apply for CalFresh, CalWORKs or Medi-Cal benefits.

The Department of Employment and Benefits Services is now able to assign a benefits specialist to all applicants within 24 hours of a claim being submitted.

The improvements will help people in our community who need it most at a time when federal eligibility rules are becoming more burdensome.
