Aquablation Therapy

Aquablation Therapy Aquablation therapy is a one-of-a-kind procedure to treat lower urinary tract symptoms of BPH.

About Aquablation Therapy
Aquablation therapy is the first and only ultrasound guided, robotic-assisted, heat-free waterjet for the treatment of BPH. The system’s real-time ultrasound imaging provides the surgeon with a multi-dimensional view of the prostate enabling personalized treatment planning tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy. The surgeon can specify which areas of the prostate to remove while preserving the anatomy that controls erectile function, ejaculatory function and continence. Once the treatment plan is mapped by the surgeon, the predictable robotic-assisted execution enables prostate tissue to be removed in a precise, targeted, and controlled fashion. BPH symptoms aren’t just an inconvenience. Left untreated, they can progress and cause bladder damage or urinary retention.

Dr. Helfand shares his perspective that while it can be tempting to wait until symptoms become more severe or bothersome, delaying care often means living longer with discomfort and missing out on treatments that could improve your quality of life sooner.

If you’re noticing changes, starting the conversation early can help you explore more options and get back to feeling your best.

For many men, the fear of losing sexual function is a top reason they avoid surgery for an enlarged prostate.

Aquablation Therapy

Aquablation therapy is a different type of treatment for BPH. It’s an advanced, minimally invasive treatment that uses the power of water delivered with robotic precision to provide long-lasting BPH relief without compromise.

It’s designed to treat the whole man, not just his prostate—from his constant frustration with BPH to his dreams, relationships, dignity, and virility.

This is BPH therapy without compromising who a man was, is, and will become. Aquablation therapy is a safe and effective treatment for patients suffering from lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) due to BPH. It can be performed on prostates of any size.

Aquablation therapy is a resective procedure, meaning that the prostate tissue causing symptoms is removed. No incision is made, as the prostate is reached through the urethra.
