Yesterday at The Watermark at Almaden, we honored Memorial Day by remembering and paying tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Our residents led a heartfelt morning ceremony that was both meaningful and inspiring, followed by a wonderful Memorial Day BBQ filled with great food, fellowship, and community spirit.

Thank you to our residents and dedicated staff for helping make the day so special.

Today at The Watermark at Almaden, our residents enjoyed a fun “Walker & Wheelchair Car Wash!” Filled with smiles, laughter, music, and connection, the event gave residents an opportunity to freshen up their walkers and wheelchairs while spending quality time together.

Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of how important social engagement, joy, and community are in everyday life. Thank you to our incredible team for creating such a fun experience for our residents!

What an amazing time we had at our recent Singing Showcase here at The Watermark at Almaden! 🎶✨

A heartfelt thank you to Ariel Dance Productions and all of the incredible performers who brought so much energy, talent, and joy to the stage. From beautiful vocal performances to lively dance numbers, the afternoon was filled with unforgettable moments and plenty of smiles. ❤️

At Watermark, we believe technology is more than a tool. It can help people stay connected, independent, and confident in daily life.

Our sister community, The Watermark at the Pearl was recently featured in the Business Insider for the meaningful work of Tech Concierge Adrian Amora.

After a career in software engineering, Adrian now helps residents feel more comfortable using everyday technology. This includes things like phones, email, video calls, online banking, and healthcare portals.

As Adrian shared, many older adults feel like tech challenges are their fault—but often, it is simply the device or system that is confusing.

His support has helped residents reconnect with family, find lost photos, and feel more confident using digital tools.

Stories like this remind us that technology in senior living is not just about devices. It is about helping people stay connected, reducing isolation, and supporting independence.

Today at The Watermark at Almaden, we celebrated all the wonderful mothers in our community with a special Mother’s Day brunch buffet and a lovely performance by a talented mariachi trio in our beautiful courtyard.

We are so grateful for the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who fill our community with love, strength, and wisdom each and every day.

Sugar scrubs are great for gently exfoliating, hydrating dry skin, and leaving your hands feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed. It was a fun hands-on activity and everyone loved taking home their creations!

We had an incredible time celebrating Cinco de Mayo here at The Watermark at Almaden! 🇲🇽✨

Our community was treated to a beautiful folklórico performance by Grupo Folklórico Luna y Sol de SJSU.What an amazing showcase of culture, music, and tradition. Our residents truly embraced the spirit of the celebration, enjoying every moment of the vibrant dances and energy. 💃🎶

To top off the day, we hosted our second Eat & Greet, bringing everyone together for a fun and social evening. Residents enjoyed refreshing margaritas, a delicious nacho bar, and special menu touches inspired by one of our very own Mimi, who graciously shared her recipes with us. ❤️

It was a day full of connection, culture, and great memories!

At our sister community, Watersound Fountains, residents are proving that adventure doesn’t have an age limit. The ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) traded their usual outing for the fast lane, hitting the go-kart track and showing that fun, friendship, and a little friendly competition never go out of style.

From staying active to trying something new, it’s moments like these that remind us what community is all about. Who says you can’t feel like a kid again? 🏁

Today at The Watermark at Almaden, our residents enjoyed a wonderful Wine 101 experience with Bertha from Fortino Wines 🍷

Bertha guided us through an engaging and educational tasting, sharing the history behind the wines while teaching residents how to properly observe, smell, and savor each pour. From understanding aromas to appreciating flavor profiles, everyone had the opportunity to learn something new in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

We are always grateful to have Bertha join us for our community events.She brings such knowledge, warmth, and professionalism each time, and our residents truly look forward to her visits.
