We had an amazing Easter celebration at The Watermark at Almaden! 🌸🐣

Our day started with a delicious Easter brunch shared among residents, families, and staff. The festivities continued with a fun-filled Easter event where everyone enjoyed egg dyeing and egg painting, getting creative with bright colors and designs. 🎨🥚

We also had face painting and exciting games for the children who joined us, bringing so much laughter and energy to the day. 😊

To top it all off, we ended with a wonderful Easter egg hunt that had smiles all around! 🐰🌷
It was truly a joyful day filled with community, creativity, and celebration. 💛

Did you catch this heartwarming story in U.S. News and World Report?

It highlights the friendship between Wanda and Peggy at our sister community, Sonrisa Senior Living. What started with a simple invitation to play bridge quickly turned into daily check-ins, shared activities, and a “best friend for life.”

Stories like this remind us so much of the friendships we see blooming right here at our senior living community. 💛

At Watermark Retirement Communities, community life is designed to bring people together, whether it’s over a game of cards, a shared meal, or simply spending time with neighbors who become like family.

This past week, we brought the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day to life with a truly special performance from the Green Academy! 🍀✨

Our residents were delighted as talented young dancers some as young as just 3 years old, took the stage to perform traditional Irish dances. Their energy, passion, and joy were absolutely contagious!

From the lively music to the bright smiles all around, happiness filled the air and created a festive atmosphere that everyone could feel. It was a heartwarming celebration that brought generations together and made this St. Patrick’s Day one to remember. 💚

Spring is beginning to bloom, and so are beautiful moments with our residents 🌹

We recently enjoyed a lovely outing to the rose garden in downtown San Jose, where the first blossoms of the season were just starting to open. Surrounded by fresh air, vibrant colors, and great company, it was a perfect way to welcome the new season together.

Our residents at The Watermark at Almaden had a star-studded evening at our Oscars Watch Party! From walking the red carpet to receiving their very own “Oscar” awards, everyone truly felt like a Hollywood star. 🌟🏆

Last week we hosted a wonderful program called Collections & Conversations. Our residents and staff had the opportunity to display special collections they’ve gathered over the years and share the stories behind them.

From cherished keepsakes to unique treasures, each collection sparked meaningful conversations about when they started collecting, what inspired them, and the memories connected to each item. It was a beautiful way to learn something new about one another and celebrate the passions that make each resident unique.

On March 1st we celebrated Will & Fran’s 51st wedding anniversary, two of our beloved residents. We were surrounded by great friends, delicious food, flowing drinks, and so much love. ❤️

The highlight of the evening was an incredible jazz band that kept the music going and the energy high all night long. 🎷 It was such a joy to gather together and honor a couple whose love and commitment continue to inspire everyone around them.

Here’s to 51 amazing years and many more beautiful memories ahead. Cheers to Will & Fran! 🥂

We recently had the joy of celebrating Purim at The Watermark at Almaden, and it was truly a heartwarming and spirited event!

Our residents brought the story of Purim to life by acting it out, filling the room with energy, creativity, and laughter. The audience was just as engaged cheering, participating, and fully embracing the festive spirit of the holiday. It was wonderful to see everyone so lively and involved.

Love and music filled the room at our recent Valentine’s Singing Showcase at The Watermark at Almaden! ❤️🎶

This unforgettable afternoon featured a lively tap dancer who wowed the crowd, a beautiful duet that tugged at our heartstrings, a talented pianist who set the perfect mood, and plenty of sing-alongs that had everyone joining in. 👏✨

From sweet melodies to energetic rhythms, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We’re so grateful to Ariel Dance Productions and all of the wonderful performers who helped make this Valentine’s celebration so special.

Events like these are a beautiful reminder of the joy, connection, and community we cherish every day. 💕

We were excited to offer a Sound Healing class for our residents, led by Alie Parker from our Sales Department, and it was a truly meaningful experience 🌿✨

Sound healing uses calming tones and gentle vibrations to help the body and mind relax. The soothing sounds can help reduce stress and anxiety, promote deep relaxation, support better sleep, and encourage an overall sense of well-being and peace. Many residents shared that they felt calmer, more centered, and uplifted after the session.

The class was a wonderful success. Residents were fully engaged, relaxed, and open to the experience. Seeing the positive response and peaceful atmosphere confirmed just how impactful this type of wellness activity can be.

Because of the great feedback and benefits, we’re happy to share that sound healing will be offered again in the future as part of our ongoing commitment to holistic wellness and enriching experiences for our residents.
