It’s Aquarius season a.k.a. my favorite season because my birthday is on the 31st! Did you know Aquarius is the sign that rules astrology? Maybe because we are known for our futuristic foresight and “thinking outside the box”.

We are also known for our fierce independence, a love of learning and our unapologetic approach to life. This shows up in everything we do from the way we dress to the jobs we choose.

Tapping into Aquarian energy via the body happens through the calves, ankles and circulatory system:

This past Saturday marked the first day of winter and the first day of Capricorn season!

Capricorn season (on the heels of and contrary to celebratory Sagittarius season) is when we set the goals and organize our plan for the coming year. Capricorn is earth energy. We must halt and retreat in order to root ourselves in our intentions.

Capricorn rules the skeletal system and the skeletal system is quite literally structured to hold us up. This is what we are tapping into this season. Here’s some ways to support your skeletal system and ground into winter using bodywork:

❄️ Chiropractic care

❄️ Ask your massage therapist to stretch your spine with a tug on your ankles and/or occipital ridge

❄️ Spine lengthening stretches (downward dog anyone?)

❄️ Are you sitting up straight right now? Take a deep breath and adjust your posture.

I love Sag season! When the sun enters Sagittarius (as it did last week) it means we’re in the thick of the holiday season and all the celebrations that come along with that. Sag is known for their independent, indulgent, enthusiastic, fun loving nature and because Sagittarius is my rising sign, I love participating in that energy.

Sagittarius rules the hips and thighs. Here are some ways to tap into that fun, fiery Sagittarius spirit through your body.
