Staff and volunteers are super busy getting ready for our mothers day drive-through event tomorrow!

We are so lucky and fortunate to have received an outpouring of love and many donations from the community.

Shout outs to St Mary's Church in Los Gatos, Lularoe by Lisa Truong, and Resilient Families of Gilroy!

Would you please help us in our campaign?

Our families need TOILET PAPER! Yes, the year of the Pandemic never fails to surprise us again!

We are collecting funds and Target Gift Cards (e-cards only at this time) for gifts and basic needs for our 20 families and 55 children this holiday season.

We are "gifting" them toilet paper (yes!), diapers, formula, grocery cards and hygiene supplies, which are very short supply this holiday season!

A gift of $100 gives an entire family a gift box with much- needed supplies.

Additional donations are sent directly to the families as gift cards, so they can purchase socks, warm coats, new clothing for growing children, and groceries.

How Birth & Beyond Women's Care will take care of our community in light of CoronaVirus.

Juan Diego Society's Birth & Beyond Women's Care takes very seriously the health of our mothers and babies, our pregnant ladies, their spouses and extended families.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is top of mind for everyone, and as a supporter of our work, we wanted to update you about what we are doing to address the challenge at this time. We know you have questions and we want to personally assure you that we are monitoring the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) closely.

The entire team of Staff, Volunteers and Board are committed to doing our part. We are following the guidelines of the Santa Clara County Health Department with regard to prevention measures.

After reviewing the health department’s latest recommendations, we have decided to take the following steps from now through May 15th:

1) We have closed our office to the public effective March 11th. We are unable to accommodate in-person face-to-face visits at our Center at this time.

2) ALL client visits will take place via phone, text, Google Hangouts, or anonymous Spanish/English eChat.

3) ALL Birth & Beyond classes, training, events including weekly Moms & Tots meetings are cancelled.

4) We are increasing the cleaning and disinfecting schedule for our facilities per health department guidelines. In addition, we are adding touch-free hand disinfectant stations throughout the Center and hands-free antibacterial soap stations in the kitchen & restroom areas.

Temporarily closing our doors is a painful decision, as we know that many of our community are served with our "no appointment needed" drop-in Center, as well as our weekly classes, peer support and counseling sessions. We made this choice out of an abundance of caution, based on the CDC’s guidance that certain classes of the population (e.g. pregnant/expecting women) are at higher risk of complications from Coronavirus.

For over 34 years we have been practicing the gift of love through our life-affirming ministry to young women and their families in the Alum Rock neighborhood of East San Jose. We are strengthened in body and spirit as a community center, and we celebrate the amazing resilience of our community. These are always relevant themes, but we find them to be particularly resonant today as we face the need to promote our community’s health and well-being in new ways.

Please PRAY for our guests, staff and volunteers: We ask for the Lord’s guidance and protection as we do all we can to fulfill our mission to share God’s unconditional love. Please continue to SUPPORT us financially as we continue to develop our online services, adapt programs and bear the additional costs of modifications to our Center.

We appreciate your continued and ongoing financial support in order to serve our women and children in our community, especially those who are homeless and/ or facing an unexpected pregnancy. Your generous help is what allows us to be the FACE of Christ to ALL young ladies in crisis pregnancies in the Bay Area, homeless or not.

We will continue to monitor Health Department guidelines, and we will keep you informed of any changes as they occur. REST assured, we are working quickly behind the scenes on this! Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation with these guidelines. We are truly grateful to be a part of this incredible community.

If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Hey all!

Does anyone in the greater San Jose, CA area want an AWESOME part-time job and fill your soul with love and gratitude?

I have a Staff Accountant at the Women's Pregnancy Center that needs immediate medical leave, and it leaves us very short-handed at a critical time of year.

I have a quick JD I wrote up, it's the basic/ usual accounting role at a non-profit: post deposits, quickbooks online, helping around the office, keep project to-do lists, help with budgets, reconcile accounts and prepare financials.

Role is part-time, 20-25 hours a week. We do provide pro-rata sick and PTO/ vacation time, free coffee and snacks, warm hugs from clients and babies, and potential to tele-commute a portion of the week.

You'd be helping out an AMAZING women's center, building your own skill-set, and fulfilling (maybe?) your own mission to serve others.

PM or email for full write-up and JD. Need to fill this ASAP please.

Our websites are www.birthandbeyond.health and www.jdwcenter.org

Thank you all!

Together, we hit huge milestones this year!

We had over 900 client contacts and visits- calls, texts, on-line chats, meetings with our staff, interventions at shelters and in the homeless encampments, and attendance in our growing Mom's Group.

We placed 45 women and children in shelters, permanent housing, rooms, and they are no longer homeless.

and..............the gift of LIFE.

We celebrated 26 babies born this year!

We celebrate together many FIRSTS, and the first Christmas, Hanukkah and Holiday Season for these 26 little babies.

We did all of this with YOUR help, prayers and assistance, and financial generosity.

Our Center is flooded with clients, young women who need support and nurturing in a Pro-Woman, Pro- Love, Pro-Life environment, to affirm her strength, her value and worth, and surround her with love.

Through the birth of her child and beyond.

Birth and Beyond Women's Care.

We are the only Pregnancy Help Center in San Jose to work {literally in the streets} with "homeless and pregnant" young women.

We continue to need your help.

We need to raise an additional $30,000 by year-end 2019, to continue to provide the amazing and unceasing services to these {often desperate} young women.

Make your tax- deductible donation on the link below.
