Are you ready?

Sunday IS coming! ☀️

It’s hard to imagine all that Jesus was going through the day before he was to die on a cross. All the shame and the pain and the hurt around his trial must have been excruciating. But He was sure of something others weren’t: Sunday was on its way.

A life in recovery is never short on opportunities to feel pain. However, we too can remember that for every painful season there is also a Sunday.

God never wastes a hurt and this storm is not the end of our story. In the end, God will get the glory through our recovery journey.

Sunday is coming!

You’re never alone. God walks this journey with you, always! 🙏🏼

If you have ever experienced loss in your life, you understand what it means to be broken-hearted. When you hear the cries from your family, which make you cry even more, you’ve likely been in the position the Psalmist describes in Psalm 34:

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34:17-18‬ NIV

There is a tremendous sweetness that can be found in the middle of that crushed spirit. When the peace of God is all that can give you rest from the pain… you’re likely right where He needs you to be.

Keep fighting family. God is with you and He loves you dearly.

We have all spent times in our lives battling our thoughts. In a best case scenario, all of our thoughts would go through a healthy filter. Take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.

Philippians 4:8 ESV - Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

If you need to supplement CR with mental health counseling to help with this, do not feel shame about that. You’d see a professional to work on your broken bone, the mind should be no different.
