When families hear the term Home Health, it’s often confused with other types of care at home.

In simple terms,

Home Health involves skilled medical care provided at home.
This type of care is typically ordered by a physician and may include nursing visits, therapy, medication management, and monitoring of medical conditions after a hospital stay or during recovery.

Home Health is not about daily household help — it is focused on medical needs, recovery, and clinical support.

Each type of care at home serves a different purpose.
Understanding what Home Health is — and when it’s appropriate — can help families make clearer, more confident decisions.

In the next posts, we’ll continue breaking down each type of care one at a time.

If you’re navigating this now and have questions, ProHealth is here to help you understand what options may be right for your situation.

When families start looking into care at home, they often hear several terms at once - Home Care, Home Health, Palliative Care, and Hospice - without much explanation.
In simple terms,

Home Care is often related to help with daily activities.

Home Health involves medical care and monitoring at home.

Palliative Care focuses on comfort and symptom management.

Hospice Care is centered on comfort when treatment is no longer the main goal.

Each type of care serves a different purpose, depending on medical needs, daily support, and overall goals of care. These options are not interchangeable, and understanding the differences can make decisions feel clearer.
In the next posts, we’ll explain each type of care in more detail.

If you’re navigating this right now and have questions, you don’t have to wait - ProHealth is here to talk through your situation and help you understand what options may be appropriate.

When people think of healthcare, they often think of hospitals or facilities. But many types of care can be provided at home - depending on a person’s medical needs and daily support.

Care at home may include medical care and monitoring, help with daily activities, and comfort or symptom-focused support. The goal is to provide the right level of care while allowing patients to remain in familiar surroundings.
Not all care at home is the same. Different types of care serve different purposes, and understanding these differences helps families make informed decisions at the right time.

At ProHealth, we offer a full range of home-based care services and help families understand which option may be most appropriate for their situation.

If you’re exploring care options, ProHealth is here to help you take the next step with clarity and support.

Happy Holidays from ProHealth family! 💫

This holiday season, our team spent time giving back to the community by visiting long term patients at Ashbury Park Nursing and Rehab Center.

From smiles and hugs to thoughtful gifts and real connection, it was a reminder that care is not only about health, but about presence, dignity, and love.

We are grateful to serve our community not only through care, but through heart.

From festive drinks to Santa Claus visits, our ProHealth Hospice & Home Health team believes healing also happens through joy, warmth, and human connection.
Grateful to share these holiday moments with the residents at Avondale Villa 🎄❤️
