This video of Sammy at Now I Can in 2011 showed up on my FB feed today. I can't believe how little she was. She's so adorable! I was also filled with so much gratitude for those who have supported her over the years. That little race got her intensive therapy and other therapies for 6 strong years. Thank you so much. Here's to our little sweet girl!

It's been a very eventful summer!!! Sammy had surgery (many of you saw her in her casts at sweatin for Sammy), she became a big sister yet again (to baby brother Levi), and....she stood in place for close to 2 minutes!!! It may seem small, but in Samantha's 10 years we've never seen her do this. She shifts weight without falling and corrects herself when needed. We're so so happy! It was clear she was getting tired but she did it about 4 times in a row during therapy were over the moon 🙌😍👸

Yesterday Sammy was a part of such a fun day! She doesn't live in the Sub-Acute hospital, but she was right next door at Scribbles & Giggles (they were there this year at Sweatin' for Sammy with a booth ;) ), so they got to join in on the fun too. Pretty great when good people do good things to help other good people feel good. It makes me happy.

Busy day, but tomorrow will be even busier. And I LOVE it!!!

* Coordinated banana pickup (we need that potassium)
* Mailed REMOTE RUNNER packets (priority...hope it gets there quickly)
* Worked on Silent Auction items...guys, bring those credit cards or cash because there's some great stuff
* "Final" errands
* Organized food
* Spent a good few hours in the hospital with Sammy getting better pain meds. It's been a long week, but by golly, Saturday will be great! Can't wait!!!

Who's ready?! Sammy is!!! (And so is her uncle)

As many of you may know, Sammy had a pretty intense surgery Tuesday morning. It was a lengthening surgery -- so they made incisions in her Achilles' tendons and her abductors. This is a painful process but she's doing alright (as you can see from last night's picture). We had a hard time controlling her pain and keeping water and food down before we could leave the hospital. But last night, we came home. She even slept through the night! This morning has been rough but she is hanging in there and I'll just say thank goodness for good medicine! She'll see you at Sweatin for Sammy, but she just won't be walking around. But by then she should be full of smiles 😍
