Our Journey
Trans Recovery Supply (TRS) started with two individuals and their first- and secondhand experiences through FTM Top Surgery, Hysterectomy, and Bottom Surgery starting in 2009. Anen started his transition journey through FTM Top Surgery in 2009. He continued with a Hysterectomy, then a 3-Stage Bottom Surgery starting in 2015, which involved 4 additional surgeries due to complications.
With every surgery there comes the recovery process, which is impossible without the necessary post-op supplies. There was never a set direction on which and how much post-op supplies to get, which caused him and his partner, Heidi, who is also his caregiver, to scramble in getting everything that was needed to heal. This came with many trips to retail stores due to being short on supplies and returning for products that weren't effective, as well as purchasing from multiple online retailers for products which could not be found in stores. This took time, research, and extra money, and that is where TRS recovery kits came about. Recovery kits that contain all essentials for healing optimally, whether recovering from Gender Confirmation/Non-Conforming / FTM / MTF Top and/or Bottom Surgeries. Custom recovery kits are also available for other Gender Confirmation/Non-Conforming / FTM / MTF surgeries or if other products are preferred. In addition, post-op supplements, scar care, and daily wound care kits are available for continued recovery. Most importantly, information on how these products and supplies can help through the recovery process is provided. Anen had another revision in October 2018 and decided to take a break from continuing his surgeries to start TRS with Heidi. He then continued with another revision in April 2019, which will require at least 2 more surgeries. TRS was established to lessen the worries about post-op supplies for caregivers and individuals who will be recovering or currently recovering from gender confirmation/non-conforming surgery, so they can focus more on the pre-op process and/or recovering as quickly as possible. Follow Anen and Heidi as they continue their transition journey together while building a community where people can share resources, their experiences, and recover together.
