Little 5 day old angel🤍🤍. This family is combo feeding while they are working the her breastfeeding skills and body tension. I love the elevated side lying position for bottle feeds. Have you tried this?

Well.....this is a sad announcement. I am sorry to say that starting on 7/14 new clients with Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield will no longer have lactation coverage through The Lactation Network. A small silver lining is that any clients of Sears Lactation who are already approved can continue their care until the visit limit is met. So, if you are considering lactation support in the future (even prenatal visits), please go to my website (link in the comments) and summit your information today.

Hello Sears Lactation family, I am greatly saddened to share that my precious Mom passed away last week. We are heartbroken and will miss her magnetic smile, infectious laugh, and her servant's heart. My mom was my hero and biggest cheerleader as I went through the journey to becoming an IBCLC, and I know her spirit will be with me in every consultation. She became a IBCLC in 1986 when I was 4 (the first pic is me as a baby). Thank you Mom for the gift of attachment parenting, and helping me listening to my mama insticts above all else.
My heart has been comforted remembering the incredible impact she has had on so many people around the world as an IBCLC, RN, childbirth educator, attachment parenting advocate, and co-author with my Dad to over 40 books🙏🙏🤍

I have been out of the office but will be back in San Jose on 7/10. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Oh yes, the 2 am anxiety based Google searches! I actually had a client call the other day saying she decided to reach out instead of searching the black hole of the internet and social media (hello information overload). I remember this feeling well, and I honored to help families ease their anxiety through compassionate, evidence based care.

Celebrating all the amazing moms this week!

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I wanted to take a quick moment to give a shout out to my dear wife Martha and our daughters Hayden and Erin for their wonderful work creating The Healthy Motherhood Journal a few years ago. It's a beautiful tool to support new moms during the first year of baby’s life.
