Mental health check✅.

I know you all are hurting. I can physically feel your pain. It’s reverberating through social media- I know you feel like it’s not making any difference. You feel guilt for living your life- in pleasant skies and abundance of food, medicine, and water. Ahhh the water- it’s what kills me. I see you crying but it’s tearless- you have to hide your identity. You can’t let anyone know what your true thoughts are- lest you lose everything you’ve worked for. You see the violence against your people pulsing through the nation. I can feel your sadness for not being able to do more. I see you secretly fill out those petitions and call for actions. I know you are in pain. You are now a target because of a hand full of powerful individuals decided your fate- you have no voice. You have no say. Everyone decides your life - even though you have no crime other than being a person born on this side of a predetermined line.

- now you’re wondering whose side am I on? Could this be a post about support for Israel or Palestine? For Muslims or Jews?

What if I told you this is a post for humanity. To see how both sides suffer at the hands of individuals that use us as pawns. We have roamed this earth for millennia and war has always taught us that it’s the innocents that always loss. Doesn’t matter the side- how much more are you all willing to lose? How many more innocent people must sacrifice to make your hearts feel good. As this holiday season approaches; remember it’s our collective differences that make us so beautiful.

“ I am only one person, what difference can I make”- said 7 billion people

More than 3000 children have been killed in GAZA. Every 10 mins a child is dying. 70% of the causalities over 8000 and counting have been women and children. These are civilians and *NOT H@M@$” - they have NO weapons, no bombs, no army, no protection. They have nothing to do with the acts of terror. Their only fault is being born in G@z@; which is no state or country. It is a land under occupation. The indiscriminate killing is unbelievable to me as a mother and physician. This is NOT JUST- even war has rules. Children cannot be collateral damage.

Our leaders have to ACT NOW! They have to STOP the genocide of Palestinians, the children must live. They have NO where to go- there is NO FOOD or meds!!!!’ Newborns have NO water!!!!! How can we let this be and keep quiet! To my elected officials- remember that the power lies in the people and the American people are NOT going to responsible for this genocide you are wanting to wage.

To the beautiful children of our future. I’m sorry your ancestors failed you. I’m so sorry your ancestors believed in hate. I’m sorry we didn’t fight enough for love and humanity. Instead your ancestors fought for land, money, and greed. I pray that you change the tides- I pray you live with love and compassion. I pray you see everyone as you see yourself. I pray you all live free. I pray you never hear bombs and rifles. I’m so sorry we failed you. But I have hope you will find the way- I see the tides changing. I see us lifting one another. So stay strong my children. Stay strong.

My 11 year old daughter drew this picture tonight. We live in a peaceful northern California neighborhood. She feels overwhelmed with the news of Gazas innocent children dying. She doesn’t understand how killing children will bring back other children lost. I don’t have an answer for her….. all I have is tears, faith in God, and prayers for humanity.

May the children of Gaza wake up to the sounds of birds and not bombs.

No mother should mourn the loss of her children. I mourn the loss of all children we have already lost, Israeli or Palestinian- death knows no religion, no color, no creed, no name. I pray for the Israeli children taken hostages and the Palestinian children who have had to pay in blood for this tragedy they were no a part of.

I watch my children, my nieces and nephews walk this beautiful world and I’m horrified at what is happening to the children of Gaza.

As a mother, daughter, wife, physician, tax payer, and human - I REFUSE to fund this war on the GAZAN people by Israel. I know you’re hurting Israel but this is not the way your people want to be represented. My Jewish friends have stated- not in my name will there be another genocide.

You and I don’t need to understand the geopolitical situation in the Middle East- we DON’T need to fund it either. Please call your local congressman and speak out- stop the genocide.

As a human first, we need to protect the civilians. You cannot displace 1.1 million people in 24 hrs! We have had a border crisis in the US-Mexico border for years and can’t absorb those people so how can any other country take in refugees (and within 24 hrs with the borders bombed!!).

This is not about religion or country- this is about humanity- no way should we Americans support genocide. No killing of any group of people - I will not support it! I will not be complicit to it. I will not justify it.

You shouldn’t either! Dehumanizing people doesn’t give you a clean conscience- remember that.

I know it’s hard to speak up- everything you have ever worked for can be lost in a blink of an eye. I’m afraid too but not afraid enough to help the children of Gaza.

Please reach out to your local senators and representatives- tell them as Americans we do not want to support another way.
