ARCC wishes our Arab American friends a happy Arab American Heritage Month!

April is Arab American Heritage Month! SVCN is proud to celebrate the contributions and heritage of Arab Americans across the United States.

The Arab American community includes people with roots from the 22 countries of the Arab world, spanning North Africa and Southwest Asia — from Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine to Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, and beyond — representing a rich diversity of ethnicities, religions, and traditions. Arab Americans have called the United States home for more than 150 years and in 2021, Congress officially designated April as National Arab American Heritage Month.

Times are scary and confusing for all of us, especially for youth in underresourced communities. Simply showing up for them to listen to their fears and hopes can make a big difference. It's what our caring staff members and volunteer mentors do every day at ARCC.
