If I could send one message to women in midlife, it would be this: get to know yourself again.

Not who you’ve been for everyone else, not the roles you’ve carried but YOU.

And I know that can feel uncomfortable, even scary, especially if your identity has been wrapped up in caring for others and showing up for what everyone else needed.

If you’re in menopause and still trying to lose weight by eating less and pushing harder in your workouts, I want you to pause.

That strategy worked in your 20s and 30s because your hormones were different but in menopause, it often backfires.

Calorie restriction and high-intensity exercise can spike cortisol, stress your nervous system, and signal to your body that it’s not safe. So it holds onto fat instead of releasing it.

This is about doing what works for your hormones in this moment. When you lower stress, support your body, and work with your biology, that’s when weight loss starts to feel possible again 🙌
