***UPDATE LOCKDOWN HAS BEEN LIFTED. Thank you for everyone’s cooperation and understanding during this incident. We understand this can be a scary situation for parents and families. Our primary concern is the safety of the students and staff when an incident occurs near the schools.***
Madera PD is assisting Madera Sheriffs Office on a perimeter for a shooting investigation in the county. This shooting does not involve any students. The scene is isolated to one location and there is No Threat to any of the following campuses Desmond , Nishomoto, and Torres High School. The schools have been placed on lock down for the safety of the students and staff. Madera PD and Madera County Probation have secured the school campuses and are monitoring the situation.
