Today we’re celebrating Match Day and the next step in so many medical careers.

Dr. Renee Dversdal, our Director of Medical Education, shared a reflection on her own Match Day experience:

“I remember it like yesterday. My dad and my now husband were there with me and I was too nervous to open the envelope. My dad opened it for me and started crying and said, you're going to a Harvard hospital, kid. Of course, I then started crying and couldn't believe it was actually true. My Mom attended 1.5 years of home economics courses at Oregon State, and my Dad got a GED after completing a stint in jail then the Army. My 3 years in Boston at MGH were 3 of the most formative of my life, and I’m so thankful for it. I hope you all find joy and growth in your residencies!”
