Time to take a break from our routines, kick back and renew ourselves.

No matter how light we pack there is one thing we always bring, our minds. I’m not talking about the mind that is going to tell you how to catch the boat or plane but the mind that constantly interrupts your dream vacation. That mind that stands between you and your joie de vivre.

No matter how far we fly or sail or how hard we party we just can’t seem to leave it behind. Take heart we have the solution for you.

There is a way to leave that negative mind behind. Not just for a week or two but permanently.

Come join us for our “Refresh and Renew” meditation retreat.

There will be meditation, lectures, exercise, entertainment, fun and games. But the best part is to gather with a group of people ready to start a new way of life.

"January 16, 2020 | 2 - 5pm EST 11am – 2pm PST

New Year’s resolutions are notoriously short-lived. In fact, January 12th has been dubbed “Quitter’s Day” (ouch!) - but we needn’t fall victim to that fate! On January 16th, let’s overcome the obstacles in our mind to let go of the past and open up to a new experience of 2021.

Why is it so hard for us to create lasting change?

The reason is that to change our lives, we must start by changing our minds. By changing our minds through meditation, our whole life changes. We can be freed from the old conceptions and habits that we're controlling us and experience the world in a new, exciting way. What better way to start the New Year than that?

Our program starts with showing you a meditation method that allows you to make permanent positive changes. Then we will take a break and do an exercise that gently works out every muscle in your body, along with some dance exercises and musical entertainment. Then return to meditation refreshed, ready to clear out the old and bring in the new.

Please come join us, experienced and novice meditators alike, as we celebrate the new year and new possibilities together.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to No Kids Hungry and World Central Kitchen."

Wisdom

Completion is making all things that came into existence in the world become true existence. Although everything is already enlightened, people are ignorant of this because they have no wisdom.

People are heaven, so when the wisdom of heaven emerges, the way to get to the origin appears. This path is so simple - it is discarding one's karma and habits. Karma is one's life, and habits are what housed his karma - his body.

Casting off one's karma and habits is discarding his minds and being completely without self.

What is the Mind?

The Mind is not emptiness. The Mind is not existent. The Mind is not non-existent. There is not a single thing in the Mind; even this non-existence of things is non-existent in the Mind.

The Mind is absent of what Buddhism refers to as 'the five desires' and 'seven emotions'. The Mind is absent of sight, hearing, sense of smell and taste, as well as sensation.

The Mind is absent of any sense of having or not having. Yet, the Mind simply exists. The Mind is all things. The Mind has everything. The Mind has nothing. The Mind is not all things. This Mind is the source. It simply as it is.

It is non-existence; even its non-existence is non-existent. Furthermore, the image of all creations is the Mind. That one lives absent of mind means he has eliminated his existent mind. The true identity of the Mind is the empty void. The Mind is absent of any want, image, or shape. Such things only exist in a desirous mind.

A person comes to have regrets when he fails to achieve something or when he is unable to do something he wants. No matter what he achieves or gains, it is meaningless because man's very existence is a dream and an illusion. He is non-existent.

A person who lives with the thought that he must earn money becomes a slave of money. This very thought hinders him from earning money.

If he does not have such thoughts, he will become free. This does not mean he will not be able to earn any money because reality is not brought about by delusional thoughts and minds. Causes bring about results - money is earned by one's actions and not by his thoughts.

Worries do not disappear just because one is told not to worry; they disappear when the mind of worry is discarded. It is then that things will happen according to the natural order of the Universe. A person who has done this will be able to live a better life because he will be realistic instead of having overblown dreams.
