We are hiring for 2022-2023 school year!
Who We Are Looking For:
Our team is seeking individuals who are self-motivated, challenge-driven, team-oriented, dedicated, and passionate about health, education, and community. This internship is geared toward individuals seeking hands-on experience developing professional skills, creating better work habits, and growing through learning and feedback.
Interns educate high school students and young adults with special needs about various health topics, including nutrition, to***co education, personal hygiene, relationship building, personal safety, manners, and personal health management (matters are subject to change based on students).
Responsibilities:
– Teach 2 to 4 health education classes a week
– Facilitate various student enrichment activities
– Participate in team-building meetings and weekly curriculum training
– Attend one-on-one meetings for project planning and professional growth
– Plan and execute health program events, activities, and fundraisers for students
– Network with various organizations
– Complete an internship project
Availability:
One school year commitment: 2022-2023 // August/September - May/June
Approximately 20 hours per week
Monday-Thursday: 8am-3pm
Must attend ALL training sessions // Dates are given upon hire
Friday Mandatory Team Meetings // Dates are given upon hire
Note: We work our best to work with your schedule/availability. And we honor University breaks as well as any Federal Holidays.
What You'll Earn:
Once you've completed our internship and are in good standing, you'll receive a stipend award based on the number of classes you've facilitated. As well as a letter of recommendation from the Program Manager for future employment, Grad-School, etc. Lastly, if you are interested, the PM can provide an internal recommendation within the Goodwill of Silicon Valley Headquarters if you choose to expand with us.
